The Wind Spirit Flute Ensemble was founded and directed by Allen Anderson who holds a degree in flute performance from Millersville University. Wind Spirit is the fulfillment of Allen's mission to use his musical training to soothe, entertain, and educate, with the long-term goal of raising money for charitable causes. The ensemble has performed with the Wednesday Club of Harrisburg, various churches in Dauphin and Lancaster County, and continue to focus on community outreach with nursing home visits and similar venues.
Jenny Fritsch is a graduate of Millersville University and retired from the School District of Lancaster as a librarian/technology coach. In addition to the flute, she is a substitute church organist, plays handbells and tower chimes, and sings in her church choir.
Jenny also belongs performs with many local and community bands, musical groups and flute choirs throughout the Susquehanna Valley including being a member and one of the founders of Lancaster County Flute Choir.
Sheila Long is a senior at Millersville University pursuing a degree in music
education. She regularly attends and plays at Calvary Baptist Church and
is a member of the Ephrata Community Band.
Sheila's artistic expressive is not just limited to being an instrumentalist. Sheila is also a dancer and singer/ vocalist actively participating in many groups and ensembles at her university.
Dorothea " Dot" Lippart received a BS in Elementary Education from Eastern Nazarene College and studied flute performance at Wellesley College in
Massachusetts.
Dot has participated in many ensembles / orchestras in the New England and New Jersey.
After retiring from teaching music at the Ranney School in
NJ for 24 years, she moved to Lancaster. She plays with several groups in
the area including being a member and one of the founders of Lancaster County Flute Choir.
Ray-Michael Kauffman is a Susquehanna Valley based freelance flutist. He studied Flute Performance and Music Education. He is a member and one of the founding members of the Lancaster County Flute Ensemble and enjoys playing with various ensembles in Central Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Though working full time as a nurse, Ray-Michael continues his committed passion for the flute such as continued flute education, masterclasses, performance, and is a composer and music arranger. His compositions have been featured by well-known professional ensembles, multiple various university flute choirs here through-out the U.S.A and abroad. He has performed for noted flute festivals and conventions through New Jersey, Philadelphia, Pittsburg, through-out Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Mid-Atlantic area .

Michael strongly believes in the healing power of music and is pursuing an
advanced degree in music therapy.
